How to play Scorpion Solitaire
Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Scorpion Solitaire. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Use the example below to understand a decision. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.
Read before acting
Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Start with a deliberate move.
Step by step
- Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.
A useful example
The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Verify the rule before continuing.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
